Indian Society for Universal Dialogue
Outreach program at Sunnyside
The members of ISUD had an incredible opportunity to engage with Sunnyside learning, Palavakkam, Chennai to reflect on debates and the required skills.
Members engaged with around 25 students across all learning ages, on the existence and significance of debate. Our team-comprising Aruna Sree B, Dhivyaa R, Roopesh A G, Sankeerana L and Gowshik- curated an engaging presentation that explored the fundamentals of debate. The purpose, importance, structure and different format were covered and it was complemented by a visually rich presentation to enhance understanding.
To create an engaging environment for the bright minds and provide them with a hands-on experience on debate, our team had organised a mock debate on the topic 'Should kids be allowed to use mobile devices?'. It was truly inspiring to witness every student enthusiatically participate, which led to an invigorating discourse with fresh perspectives on this well-trodden topic.
The students showcased exemplary talent, confidence, clarity and creativity in their approach to the debate. The team received positive feedback from the students and their enthusiasm to engage in more such debates, left us deeply gratified.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sunnyside Learning for this wonderful opportunity. ISUD is proud to have a platform that nurtures both learning and the joy of sharing knowledge.
